Apartment Renovation, Chamonix
For this project, our goal was to transform a dated 1980’s two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in the Chamonix valley, into a contemporary open-plan living space, with a third bedroom, second bathroom and open plan kitchen-diner. The clients wanted a fresh, yet warm feel that reflected modern living in an alpine setting.
The apartment was completely stripped back to its bare concrete, then carefully recrafted with high-quality wooden flooring, sleek plastered walls to create a light, fresh feel and stylish solid alpine-wooden doors for a touch of warmth and character.
To fit in the third bedroom and bathroom without making the apartment feel cramped or compromising on quality, we had to get creative. To optimise the space available, we incorporated innovative solutions into the bathroom such as a heated wall with a sleek tile overlay, a bespoke vanity unit, tiled niches in the shower area and inset shelving ensuring practicality without encroaching on valuable space.
The result? A beautifully reimagined alpine home with modern comfort.
