We’ve grown fast in size and reputation. When Alex Willey first brought his renovation skills to the Alps in 2017, word of mouth spread fast, and AW Rénovations grew to keep pace with demand for his distinctive brand of quality workmanship with a touch of understated ‘wow’ factor.
Today, AWR is a tight-knit team of expert renovators and support staff, working closely with an extended network of the region’s best specialist artisans and suppliers.

Many of our clients live far from the mountains – or even, far from France.
We understand that you can’t be present on-site as much as you might like to be, so we will become your eyes and ears on the ground: representing your interests; negotiating and sourcing materials or specialist skills on your behalf.
We think of our work with you as a partnership, and that’s exactly how it will feel: we do everything to manage your project with the same care and attention as if it were our own, at the times when you can’t be there yourself.

Born in Nottinghamshire, he honed his trade in Cumbria before moving to the Alps in 2017, setting up AW Rénovations to specialise in the kind of quality, complex and challenging projects that he knew he was uniquely suited to deliver.
“I wanted a nice place to work and great people to work with”.
As Alex continues to build the AWR team, he’s stayed true to his early vision: hiring for attitude and outlook; recognising that skills can be taught where the value match is right.
When he’s not at work, you’ll find Alex in the mountains – skiing, road-biking, mountaineering and rock-climbing, often with his wife Neímh.
