Chalet Renovation, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains
Originally a 4 bedroom chalet with a self-contained three bedroom ground floor apartment in Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains, the clients wanted to reconfigure the layout to give a balanced single chalet that would accommodate their growing family and reflect their fine taste.
We particularly enjoyed the access challenge that this project provided. Being at the head of a steep road with tight bends, our usual supplier vehicles were unable to deliver. Fortunately our network includes a skilled helicopter pilot who was able to fly in the 13-meter structural beams that were required on this renovation.
Quality fixtures, fittings and finish were top of the priority list for these clients and our team really stepped up to exceed expectations. Key features include a bespoke, suspended staircase, a stone clad wall and stylish integrated fireplace. The structural installations were finished to a high standard so they could be left exposed to showcase the engineering that had gone into the renovation.
The finished chalet consisted of 6 spacious, luxurious and light filled bedrooms, 5 bathrooms featuring stylish tiled niches with LED accent lighting and solid stone baths, a custom ski room with heated boot warmers and specially designed storage units to fit the clients needs and a spacious sauna and wet-room, making this chalet the perfect family ski retreat.
